Why Should You Attend?

The ISO 9001 Foundation is a two-day training course designed to introduce the core concepts of quality and quality management, offering an in-depth explanation of the ISO 9001 requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). During this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of a QMS based on ISO 9001, including the roles of top management, the identification of risks and opportunities, the development of quality policies, processes that influence the production and service delivery, performance evaluation requirements, and the importance of continual improvement.

Upon completion of the course, you will be eligible to sit for the exam. If you pass the exam successfully, you can apply for the designation « Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation ». This certificate proves your general understanding of ISO 9001 requirements for a QMS and qualifies you to participate in QMS implementation projects.

Course Agenda

Day 1: Introduction to quality concepts, QMS, and clauses 4–6 of ISO 9001.

Day 2: Clauses 7–10 of ISO 9001 and certificate exam.

Examination

The exam meets the PECB Examination and Certification Program requirements and covers the following competency domains:

  • Domain 1: Fundamental concepts and principles of quality management and a QMS based on ISO 9001.
  • Domain 2: ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system (Clauses 4 to 10).

Certificate Requirements

After completing the PECB ISO 9001 Foundation training course, candidates must pass the exam to be eligible for the « PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation » certification. This certification does not require prior professional or management system project experience, making it an ideal entry-level credential.

Candidates will need to sign the PECB Code of Ethics to obtain the certificate.
