Examination
The PECB Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementer exam adheres to the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP). It covers the following competency domains:
- Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an EMS.
- Domain 2: Initiating EMS implementation.
- Domain 3: Planning the EMS implementation according to ISO 14001.
- Domain 4: Implementing the EMS based on ISO 14001.
- Domain 5: Monitoring and measuring EMS performance.
- Domain 6: Continual improvement of an EMS.

Note: PECB certified individuals who hold both the Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor credentials qualify for the respective PECB Master Credential upon completing 4 additional Foundation Exams related to this scheme.
To be considered valid, EMS implementation activities should include:
- Drafting an EMS implementation plan.
- Initiating and managing EMS implementation projects.
- Implementing and maintaining the EMS.
- Managing documented information.
- Evaluating EMS performance and conducting continual improvement activities.
General Information
- Certification and examination fees are included in the training course price.
- PECB provides over 500 pages of instructional materials containing detailed explanations, guidance, and practical examples.
- Participants will receive an attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits.
- In case of exam failure, you may retake the exam once for free within 12 months from the initial exam date.
